Michael, born in Devon and based at Redpost Equestrian for most of his life, has grown up around the busy atmosphere of horses making it second nature to him. All of his family are also involved in horses and Michael benefitted from the coaching of his father John Tuff whilst he grew up. He has competed regularly throughout his life up to Grand Prix level and 2* shows, with numerous different horses. At 19, he spent time in Belgium where he learnt how yards and horses are managed in Europe and also competed a wide variety of horses. Then moving to work & train under Breen Equestrian at Hickstead, he competed in the ring from 1m to 1.45m level. Working there also taught Michael valuable lessons in how to professionally break in youngsters and then how to produce them in the early stages. Michael is also a fully qualified Level 2 UK Coach and enjoys teaching riders of all abilities.

Harriet, originally born in Taunton, then spent her childhood growing up in Cyprus from age 5-16. She combined competing in both dressage and showjumping, taking part in many national dressage competitions & FEI World Dressage Challenges in Cyprus. She began to realize however that showjumping was her passion and decided to pursue that solely. Moving back to England at 16, she attended Hartpury for 2 years to study A Levels whilst continuing her riding, and was selected for the Equestrian Showjumping Academy and yard manager in her second year. At 18 she then moved on to an international showjumping yard as a working pupil for a year and competed regularly up to 1.30m level. Afterwards, she then moved to Hickstead, also under Breen Equestrian, where she competed nationally, went as a groom to international shows, and was home rider for the grand prix horses.

Michael & Harriet both grew up living and breathing horses, so it is not surprising that working with horses has been so natural for them. Here you can see some fun shots of them throughout the years.
